TikTok Banned, Chinese Apps Banned In India (2020)

India bans TikTok and other 58 Chinese apps. 

The government stated “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order.”

As per the Indian IT-ministry report, they banned 59 Chinese-owned applications, including TikTok, UC Browser, Share-It, Cam-scanner, Likee, WeChat, and Bigo Live.

The reason behind this not clear yet but as every Indian knows this move comes becomes a violation happens at Line of Actual Control in Ladakh by the Chinese troops. Criticism and backlash from Indian authorities against Chinese applications have been ongoing. This marks the largest sweep against the Chinese technology companies.
